Sign up today, get your photo on the wall, and be part of Indo United, a group of volunteer trekkers who are setting off in May 2013 to climb Mount Krakatoa and trek 100k through the Indonesian Jungle, to raise vital funds and awareness for The Michelle Henderson Cervical Cancer Trust. The trip is being organised by Denis Griffin, former captain of Gobi United a trekking team that raised over £20,000 for two Scottish charities, and is run by Sandbaggers, a company with a wealth of experience in these type of treks.

Keen hill walker. Would like to complete a challenge that can also raise money for a good cause. Have known Sandbaggers for years and therefore know this will be an exciting and rewarding trip. My wife, Geraldine, is also going so this will be a fantastic opportunity for us to share an experience of a lifetime.

“Don’t just dream about it – make it happen”

I can’t wait to find out more about the charity…..it will exciting to be part of something new that will change people’s lives for the better. “How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world” Anne Frank

I would like to take part in the trip to Krakatoa because since
becoming self employed 6 years ago I have only managed to take a one
week holiday, and gained only a belly and some grey hairs, it’s time
for a change, and an adventure to an active volcano on the other side
of the world sounds just the ticket. I have been climbing on several of
europes mountain ranges, and so I am aware that I must improve my
fitness level and now have such a very good reason to do so. To be
contributing to such a worthy cause adds value to the enterprise and
makes this an opertunity that I could not resist.

Being a part of the Indo United Charity trek would be a great life experience.  The whole idea of it, from raising the money to go, meeting new people, and the actual trip itself all sound brilliant. All of the aspects involved would be a great chance to experience new things, learn new skills, and give me something exciting to work towards.  Being able to raise money for such a worthy cause would also be a privilege, knowing that money I raise could potentially change someone’s life.

My name is Andrew Barrie I am 25, a father of 2 and an Armed Forces Veteran and the reason I joined Indo United is because I love a challenge, I was pushed to the limit when I was in the Armed Forces and to do a challenge like the jungle trek is a once in a life time experience but to raise money for a great cause while doing it is even better.
