Payment
After your registration has been confirmed a deposit payment of £350 per person must be paid online, by cheque or by BACS transfer. Your participation is not confirmed until the deposit is paid and a confirmation of booking has been issued by us. The full balance must then be paid in accordance with the dates specified in your competitors briefing document.  Failure to do so may result in the cancellation of your participation and the loss of your deposit.

Confirmation

A contract shall exist between you and Sandbaggers/Sole Challenge Limited, once an application form and deposit is received by us and confirmation of your place has been dispatched by us. This is usually within two weeks of receiving your application form and deposit.

Cancellation by you

Should you have to cancel for unavoidable reasons, the following restrictions will apply:

  • Your deposit of £350 is non-refundable.
  • Refunding of money will be dependent on date.  We will refund as much money as possible but the amount may be reduced if payments have been made to our support team in Indonesia.

Changes by us

In the interests of safety, and dependent on local conditions it may sometimes be necessary for us to make alterations to the trip as detailed in our marketing material and competitors briefing pack, before or after your booking has been confirmed. We reserve the right to do so at our absolute discretion. If it is necessary for us to make a significant change to the trip we will inform you as soon as possible. 

Upon registration, all persons agree to abide by the regulations, terms and conditions as set out by Sandbaggers Ltd. I.e. Itinerary may be subject to change at short notice.

Payment/Trip Information

A participation fee of £2000 (may be lowered subject to entrant numbers and subsequent cost) will be payable according to the following schedule. 

  • Deposit  £350                           -  by 28th February  2012
  • 2nd payment £600                     - by 31st July 2012
  • 3rd payment   £700                     by 31stOctober                           -
  • Final payment       by 31st January  2013

Note:  As the deposit will be used to offset early payments to the Indonesian support team I’m afraid it’s non-refundable. 

Cancellation

 In the extremely unlikely event Sandbaggers/Sole Challenge have to cancel the event for circumstances outwith our control, a full refund will of course be given.

 Indonesian Visas

  • These are required for all UK nationals and are obtained on arrival at Jakarta for US$25
  • Trip Cost + Registration Fee, covers your Flights, Meals, Permits, Accommodation, Experienced leadership, Medical back-up, Trip support, and lots more!!! Sandbaggers them self can supply quality gear at cheap prices as they are supplier/distributor for lots of equipment.
  • Number of Day for the trip :11, the trek will be of moderate difficulty during which we will fluid and open to modification to allow your groups objectives to be achieved.
  • Depart from Glasgow Airport

Draft Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive Jakarta transfer to FM7 hotel http://www.fm7hotel.com/

Ample time to relax and recuperate after your long flight from the UK. The hotel is only a short distance from the airport and offers excellent facilities for you to enjoy

Day 2 Transfer to start point of trek to jungle beach camp Tamanjaya Gunung Honje Range

Here we will have the safety, route briefings and kit checks along with a welcoming meal and some local entertainment

Day 3 Trek from Tamanjaya to Kalejetan 20km

 

Day 4 Trek from Kalejetan to Cibandawoh 24km

 

Day 5 Trek from Cibandawoh to Sanghiang Sirah 26km over peak at 430m

 

Day 6 Trek from Sangiang Sirah to Cidaon 16km

 

Day 7 Trek Cidaon to Nyawaan 15km boat to Krakakatoa Islands (101km)

 

Day 8 Trek  to summit of Krakatoa or other nearby peak if volcano active

 

Day 9 Return to mainland hotel (TBC) for celebration

 

Day 10 Return to FM7 hotel Jakarta via markets for shopping

 

Day 11 Rtn flight

(NB The boat trip to Krakatoa may be subject to weather conditions and sea state. The weather this time of year is normally extremely settled and should not hopefully be a problem. Alternate travel arrangements will be considered)

(Krakatoa is still an active volcano. If volcanic activity deems the peak unsafe to climb then an alternative peak on a nearby island will be considered)

Contract.

A contract detailing booking conditions and terms will be produced by Sandbaggers Ltd.  This will be completed following confirmation of dates, numbers and resultant costing.

Confidentiality and Support.

Sandbaggers will respect client confidentiality.  Should you wish us to do so we will be happy to promote your trip on our websites and mail shots and will be happy to assist in every way we can with the promotion of your charity efforts.

Pre-trip Training.

Sandbaggers will host a free training day/seminar where we would be able to meet the trip organisers “face to face” ask them any questions we might have regarding the tip.
